The Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina(BiH) Zeljka Cvijanovic met yesterday with the commander of the NATO Headquarters in Sarajevo Matthew Vales and the commander of EUFOR in BiH Florin-Marian Barbu, and they exchanged opinions and views on the current political and security situation in BiH.

On this occasion, Cvijanovic expressed commitment to the “consistent respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement,” and emphasized that the institutions of the BiH entity Republika Srpska(RS) are fully dedicated to the protection of the Constitution and the constitutional order in the entity and the state of BiH.

The Chairwoman of the Presidency emphasized that “the challenges in BiH are political, not security-related,” and underlined the unequivocal commitment of RS to preserving peace and stability, it was stated from her office.

Cvijanovic informed the interlocutors that “all decisions in the field of defense in the Presidency of BiH are made exclusively by consensus of all three members, and that anything else would be illegal and non-binding for members of the Armed Forces of BiH(AFBiH).”
