Change of EUFOR Command – Turkish Contingent

On 20 August 2025, a ceremony marking the Change of Command within the Turkish Contingent took place at Camp Butmir. On this occasion, Colonel Mustafa Cetin Celik assumed command from Colonel Mahmut Sert.

COM EUFOR Major General Florin-Marian Barbu attended the ceremony alongside DCOM EUFOR Brigadier General Incisa di Camerana, COS EUFOR Brigadier General Tibor Szabó, Mr. Mahmut Bugra Dogan Deputy Ambassador of Türkiye to Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as NATO HQ Sarajevo DCOM Colonel Muharrem Aydin.

During this ceremony, COM EUFOR Major General Barbu congratulated Colonel Mahmut Sert for his dedication and unwavering service.
Marked by a formal and dignified atmosphere, the ceremony came to an end with a traditional dance, symbolizing cultural heritage and tradition.
