China today rejected claims of hacking of the British Ministry of Defense, state media reported.
Such reports are “pure nonsense,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said when asked about Sky News’ reporting of an alleged Chinese cyber attack targeting Defense Ministry officials.
“China has always resolutely opposed and fought against all forms of cyber attacks, and resolutely rejects the use of cyber security issues to vilify other countries,” Lin told reporters in Beijing.
Sky News reported that the Chinese state was behind the cyber attack, although the British government would not name the country involved.
Names and bank details were exposed in the cyber attack, which allegedly targeted the payment system, staff and some officials, AA writes.
