Chinese to build a new Plant in Banja Luka

banja lukaMayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic, hosted a delegation of Chinese company “Dongfang Electric”  and spoke about the project of building a new plant “Toplane” in Banja Luka.

Delegation of “Donganfag” heading Hu Minsheng, informed that the Assembly of the City of Banja Luka will on Wednesday, 15th March, found the draft decision on inviting the international bids for a strategic partner for the construction of a new plant “Toplane”.

He said that they seek partner who would, as the owner of 51 percent of the future joint company, make technical solution and, if possible, built a new plant “Toplane” with wood chips as the primary fuel.

“Our plan is to invite the international bids on Thursday, ie, on 16th  March. The call will be open for 21 days, and the plan is, if we can get to in the second half of April, to enter into negotiations with a potential partner, and to start the works in May, if possible,”said Radojicic.

Representatives of the “Dongfang”, the company that built power plant in Stanari, expressed the interest for participation in this project, noting that in its business portfolio, among others, have build similar facilities.
