Minister of Transport and Communications of the RS, Nedjo Trninic, announced that the final contract on the realization of the project of the construction of highway Banja Luka – Prijedor, which is worth about 297 million EUR, should be signed with the Chinese company from Shandong in September.

The concession will be granted for a period of 30 years, and finances for the construction should be secured by a Chinese company, and the project should be structured without guarantees of BiH.

Trninic stated that the expropriation of the land on the route will be obligation of this BH entity, and that there is a possibility for the highway, in the first phase of the length of 42 kilometers, to be continued towards Novi Grad / Bosanski Novi, as well as a fast road in a direction of Kozarska Dubica.

The Director of “Highways of the RS”, Dusan Topic, noted that this was the first concession contract as a new way of financing the construction of highways in the RS.

The second protocol was about cooperation at the project of construction of highways Doboj – Vukosavljanje (Corridor 5C) and Doboj – Brcko.
