The filming of a remake of the film ‘Valter Brani Sarajevo’ will soon start in Sarajevo, which will be one of the most expensive and most significant projects in B&H after the war.
Preparations for the filming of the remake of this most famous and popular movie with a theme of war in the former Yugoslavia will be completed by the end of the year, and the Chinese company China Star Media will take part in the project.
The FB&H Minister of Culture and Sport Salmir Kaplan told klix.ba that in August it is expected that there will be a grand ceremony in China, where the remake of the film ‘Valter Brani Sarajevo’ will take place.
‘’Promotion began in Chinese media. They plan to hold a gala ceremony in China in August on occasion of the realization of the project. They wish to present this film at the biggest possible level. State representatives will take part, and invitations will be sent to B&H as well’’, said Kaplan.
Given that China will invest seven million BAM in the project, when filming starts in Sarajevo it is expected that there will be a large cast and technical staff, and the blocking of traffic in some parts of the city is to be expected.
Minister Kaplan noted that B&H cinematography will greatly benefit from this project, and especially actors from B&H who will star in the film.
‘’Producers from China will determine the directors very quickly. The head director will be from China, and other assistants will be from B&H. When directors are chosen then they will choose the actors, including the actor that will play Valter’’, said Minister Kaplan.
