Citizens In Front of Municipality Tuzla: Support to Mayor Jasmin Imamović

tuzlaSeveral hundred people of Tuzla gathered today to support Jasmin Imamović. The reason for this gathering were yesterday’s protests seeking the resignation of the Mayor Jasmin Imamović.

Participants pointed out that Imamovic was elected in a democratic way and this is the only way to choose the leader of the city.

Jasmin Imamović in a press release stated:

“I did not take personally yesterday’s arrival of protestors in front of Municipality Tuzla. My duty is to serve those who applaud and to those who whistle.  We all have to understand the problems of people who are protesting these days. If all the employed people understand those who are unemployed then it would be easier for everyone. We should help people who are protesting because they are suffering, because they want reforms, which would make our life better. We should protect the honest ones from some thieves. We should unite and put pressure on the responsible authorities of state, entity and canton to achieve social and economic changes. We require from justice to make things right for all the people who protest”.

The rally lasted about 20 min, and after the speech of Mayor Imamović and other participants, citizens left the square in front of the Municipality Tuzla.
