As of today, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) can get free visas at Doha Airport for arrival in Qatar.

The Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Doha announced that free visas will be issued with a 30-day stay, provided that BiH citizens have a return ticket and their passport is valid for at least six months.

On November 13th, Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektic and Prime Minister of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al Thani held a meeting in Doha.

Prime Minister Al Thani, who is also Qatar’s interior minister, also discussed enhancing security co-operation and it was agreed that, based on the existing Police Cooperation Agreement, these relations would be intensified in the future.

The need for an exchange of experiences, which will be realized through joint training of BiH and Qatar police officers, was particularly emphasized.

Given that Qatar is hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022, the participation of BiH police officers in the security preparations for this event and the transfer of experience in organizing and securing major sports and other events has been agreed.

In addition to Minister Mektic, the BiH delegation also included SIPA and OSA directors Perica Stanic and Osman Mehmedagic, and the meeting was also attended by Emir of Qatar, national security officer Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Misnad.
