In just three months, citizens managed to collect money for aseven-member family from Mostar who lived on the brink of poverty in a 30-square-meter tenancy apartment and helped its members to get a decent roof over their heads and move into their own house.
Ivica Perutina posted the story of the difficult life of a father and mother with five minor children in the largest city in Herzegovina on his Facebook profile.
He wrote that a family of seven is fed by a father who does not have a permanent job, a driver’s license, or a car, but that he is diligent and accepts every job where he is given the opportunity to work in order to feed his family, but he often cannot get paid for his work.
Due to all the above, as the father of five minor children pointedout, he is not able to feed his family, nor provide the basic necessities of life, pay rent and utilities, without the help of good people.
Many people heard his call and responded with a desire to help, and in a short time a solution was found, so a ruinous house was bought and was completely renovated for that family.
“A lot of good people of all faiths and nations responded. Some helped financially, some in material, roof, openings, tiles, kitchen, heating stove, children’s rooms…”, Perutina noted, thanking everyone who participated in a humane action and helped the seven-member family to have a roof over their heads and a real family home for the first time in their lives, Klix.ba writes.
