With a minute of silence, and then flowers and occasional speeches, the members of the Association of Citizens Josip Broz Tito, SABNOR Tuzla and Canton Tuzla yesterday paid tribute to Josip Broz Tito, the lifelong president of SFRY.
From the commemorative summit, once again, was sent the message that anti-fascist from Tuzla will pay the tribute to the greatest son of the Yugoslav peoples and nationalities for as long as they live.
“Deeds of Josip Broz Tito are permanent and anti-fascist. His achievements were such that he was recognized, and we in BiH should recognize them the most. Unfortunately, the situation is different, but we hope that it will be changed soon,” said President of the Association Josip Broz Tito, Mijo Kerosevic.
He also noted that the aforementioned association started activities in 2014 for setting up the anti-fascist front in BiH, which would gather all those who nurture the heritage of anti-fascism in one place.
“In this way would be created space for proving that anti-fascism is the only exit and a bright spot in the attempt to rescue BiH,” said Kerosevic.
Josip Broz Tito was born on May 7, 1892, in Kumrovec, Croatia.
In various falsified documents appeared different dates of birth, and one of them was May 25, which was later marked as Tito’s birthday – the Youth Day.
He was included in the Political Bureau of CKKPJ in 1934.
Tito was elected for President in 1953, and with the adoption of a new constitution back in 1974, he became the president with the “unlimited mandate”.
He died in Ljubljana on May 4, 1980, at 3:05 PM.
