After the Mayor of Sarajevo announced that the City of Sarajevo will allocate funds from the reserve for the sick Ramiz Nukic, who has been searching for the remains of those killed in the Srebrenica genocide for years, the money was paid yesterday, Klix.ba writes.

After information appeared in the public that Ramiz Nukic from the Bratunac village, who has been searching for the remains of Bosniaks killed in the Srebrenica genocide for years, is seriously ill, Mayor Benjamina Karic announced that funds will be allocated from the City of Sarajevo reserve to help Nukic.

Karic invited other institutions to join so that they all try to repay Ramiz for everything he has been doing for years.

During the past two decades, Nukic found the remains of more than 300 victims, mostly on forest trails, mined and hard-to-reach areas.

A few days ago, he found out that he was suffering from lung cancer, and so far he has been hospitalized on several occasions at the University Clinical Center in Tuzla.

The director of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, Emir Suljagic, also sent an appeal for help to the sick Nukic.
