Israel thanked Dodik and Covic for their Support in the Conflict with Islamic Jihad

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, i.e. the Department for the Balkans, thanked Milorad Dodik and Dragan Covic for their position on the conflict in that region.

”Thank you for your strong support. Israel has the right to defend its citizens: Jews, Muslims, and Christians. The world should stand with Israel as it is fighting Terrorism. Terror-free Gaza is better for both Israel and the Palestinians,” it says in a tweet that was published as a comment on Dodik’s earlier statement.

Dodik wrote yesterday that Israel has the right to defend itself.

“Strongly condemning the targeting of the Israeli civilians by terroristic Islamic Jihad and fully supporting the suspension of fire. The State of Israel has the right to defend itself,” Dodik said in a tweet.

The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a similar message in response to Dragan Covic’s tweet.

In it, they state that Israel will continue to “defend itself against terrorists who randomly launch rockets with one goal, to kill Israelis.”

To recall, Israel and the Palestinian militants, the so-called Islamic Jihad, agreed to a truce in Gaza with the mediation of Cairo, after Israel targeted Palestinian civilians and launched long-range rocket attacks on its cities over the weekend, Klix.ba writes.
