The City of Sarajevo is awarded with the European Diploma of the Council of Europe, which was presented to Mayor Benjamina Karić at an official ceremony in the Palais de l’Europe in Strasbourg.
“This is a reward for my fellow citizens, with whom we are building a modern, European, open city together,” said Karić.
Karić said that “we see our future in the European Union, and Sarajevo, as the capital city, has a special role and responsibility to achieve that goal”.
“Europe was, is and will be an idea to which we belong,” said the Mayor of the City of Sarajevo, Benjamina Karić.
