Hungarian Prime Minister meets with Members of BiH Presidency

The support of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, during the adoption of the decision of the European Council on the granting of candidate status to Bosnia and Herzegovina gives a strong impetus to Bosnia and Herzegovina. institutions to continue the reform processes that will enable the opening of negotiations for membership in the Union, it was pointed out after the meeting of the members of the BiH Presidency with the Hungarian Prime Minister.

The members of the BiH Presidency pointed out that the bilateral cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary is long-standing, friendly and intensive in all areas, and that there are no open questions.

During the meeting in Sarajevo, Orban was informed about the activities undertaken in regional initiatives and cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans with the aim of common approach to the European Union.

In this context, the Hungarian Prime Minister expressed his full support for the EU integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other countries of the Western Balkans, noting that Bosnia and Herzegovina has the status of an “honorary neighbor” in Hungarian foreign policy.
