The City of Sarajevo will support the construction of the International Cultural Center East West, which is expected to be built in the area of municipality Novi Grad, said the Mayor Ivo Komšić when he received today the Advisor to the Mayor for Culture of the city of Geneva, Andre Waldis and the Director of the East West Center Haris Pašović.
This is a continuation of cooperation on this project, which began two years ago with the Declaration on International Cultural Center East West in Sarajevo, which was signed by representatives of the FBiH, Canton Sarajevo and the cities of Geneva and Sarajevo.
The East West Center would be the biggest scenic area in BiH, which would produce and present local, regional and international top arts and cultural programs. The Center would consist of a large theatre and concert halls, small halls, movie halls, galleries, libraries and other facilities, announced the City of Sarajevo.
