The city of Sarajevo has traditionally given significant financial support to the event that BiH puts the capital on the map of the most attractive tourist destinations and European metropolises, the Sarajevo Film Festival.
In July, on that occasion, Mayor Benjamina Karić and Director Jovan Marjanović signed the Agreement on co-financing this year’s, 29th edition of the Festival.
“We proudly welcome another SFF and guests from all over the world, who are staying in Sarajevo in record numbers these days. This year’s guests of the City will be numerous delegations, among others, from the Turkish cities of Sanliurfa, Collogne, Sofia, Zagreb, Pula, Novi Pazar, Goražde, Podgorica, Bar, Cetinje, Ogulin…” is stated for Fena news agency from the City of Sarajevo.
As they emphasize, Sarajevo has been a UNESCO City of Film since 2019, and this year’s winner of the first Global Production award in the category of best film city.
This gives us an additional obligation to justify the rating we have on the international scene, but also among numerous fans and connoisseurs of the seventh art. We invite our fellow citizens to, as always, be good hosts to all our guests – emphasized the City of Sarajevo.
