The City of Sarajevo donates 60,000 BAM to Soup Kitchens

soup kitchenRepresentatives of the city of Sarajevo signed contracts with representatives of soup kitchens on the financial support in the amount of 60,000 BAM.

Mayor of Sarajevo Ivo Komsic said that there are about 4,000 users of soup kitchens and the funds will be divided depending on the number of users.

“This modest donation was given to the most vulnerable population structure, which should have a place in the city where they will eat their meal,” explained Komsic.

Soup kitchens to which funds will be assigned are: the Red Cross of Sarajevo Canton, the Association of Humanitarian and Pastoral Organization “Caritas Vrhbosanske nadbiskupije,” the Association of Humanitarian Charitable Organization “Kruh svetog Ante” Franciscan Province of Bosna Srebrena, the Association of the Humanitarian Organization “Merhamet” – Muslim charitable society, National Soup Kitchen “Stari Grad” and the Serbian humanitarian association “Dobrotvor”.
