Children of Bosniak nationality will start attending classes on Monday under improvised conditions in Konjević Polje, until the demands of parents to have national subjects introduced are met, confirmed to Fena a member of the Council of Parents of the elementary school in Konjević Polje Vehid Dedić.
He explained that the curricula for Bosniak children would be organized in one of the homes in Konjević Polje, and teachers would arrive from Sarajevo.
‘’So far, a large number of teachers that would work on a volunteer basis in Konjević Polje have called us. The parents will stay in the tents in front of the OHR building. This is our only choice’’, he stressed.
The elementary school “Petar Kočić” from Kravica filed yesterday in the court in Srebrenica a request to initiate proceedings against 95 parents of the students form the school district of Konjević Polje, who have been protesting in front of the OHR building for 53 days.
‘’Everything is in accordance with the Law on elementary schools. Legislation and jurisdiction is such for the jurisdiction of the school to institute proceedings in competent courts and centers for social work’’, said to Fena the director of the school Savo Milošević.
Dedić commented on the launching of proceedings in the court by the school from Kravica that they should have done this a long time ago, because children have not been in school since 2 September.
