Ilhan Mulalic, a collector of old books and photographs from Lukavac, found an old photo album from the period between 1933 and 1940 at a flea market. He wishes to find the family members of this family and return the album to them.
“At a flea market in my city, among the many used books from the middle of the last century, I found a family album. There are a husband, wife and a girl in the photos. Each one has a description,” Ilhan said.
According to the photos, the family traveled Bosnia and Herzegovina and photographed themselves in each city. Some descriptions are in German, the date and information about the child’s age are there and, on some, there’s the name Tilda.
On one photograph, the description reads “Sebesic, Tilda Javor.”
“Maybe someone recognizes their great-grandfather or great-grandmother or some other member of their family. There are more than 100 photographs in the album. I can’t determine whose album this is because there’s no name,” the collector from Lukavac said.
There’s also a bill for the funereal of a Jozefina Javor in Sarajevo in the street Dobrovoljacka 4, who died on January 30th, 1984. The baby on the photograph is called Olgica.
If someone knows the members of this family, they can let the editorial team know at [email protected].
