COM EUFOR meets Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH

The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Nermin Nikšić, in Sarajevo to discuss the current security environment and ongoing cooperation.

During the meeting, Major General Fronda reaffirmed EUFOR’s commitment to supporting the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels in maintaining stability and ensuring a safe and secure environment for all citizens. Discussions focused on the importance of continued coordination between EUFOR and both state and entity-level authorities in addressing current and emerging security challenges.

Both parties highlighted the importance of strong institutional cooperation and sustained engagement in preserving stability across the country. Particular emphasis was placed on preparedness and the role of partnership in ensuring an effective and coordinated response to any potential security developments.

Major General Fronda stated: “EUFOR remains fully committed to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Through our continued engagement and readiness, we contribute to a stable and secure environment for all citizens.”

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment to peace and stability, underpinned by close cooperation between EUFOR and the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels.

EUFOR continues to operate under its mandate in support of the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, demonstrating its role as a credible, visible, and impartial force committed to long-term stability across the country.
