The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, stated today that she supports all regional initiatives, and that BiH and Montenegro are directed towards each other and that she expects dedicated cooperation on regional infrastructure connectivity.
“In our region, we are directed towards each other and my presence today shows the desire that we all cooperate well and to solve, if we have, any bilateral issues that could possibly be a brake. I do not recognize them as existing, and what is “It is in the interest of all of us to work harder when it comes to our regional infrastructure and connectivity, our market, which needs to respond to many challenges,” Cvijanović said.
She emphasized that there have been friendly, political, social and economic ties between BiH and Montenegro for years and decades and that they should not be burdened by political issues.
“I don’t mean this only for BiH and Montenegro, but for all our countries in the region. These are challenging times and we need to express our potential and capacity in a way that will be acceptable to each of us, but also beneficial,” Cvijanović told reporters in Podgorica where she attended the inauguration of the new President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović.
Cvijanović added that she expects good cooperation with Montenegro and the new government.
“When we are together, we will be stronger and more open, and in this sense I support all regional initiatives, both the Open Balkans and the Berlin Process, and everything that gives us the opportunity to closely cooperate with each other,” said Cvijanović.
She said that today is a solemn day and this is an opportunity to show respect for both the person and the function of the one taking the oath and the fact that a new political era is beginning in which certain relationships are built and reaffirmed and dedicated to closer cooperation.
