A post with extremely disgusting content spread on social networks yesterday morning – in the photo there is a guy who, standing at the cemetery where a Bosniak woman is buried, calls on the “treading on Muslims” (as he wrote ”Balije”) through his text. The photo was taken in Mostar.
This post caused a series of sharp reactions and condemnations, and on that occasion the father of the young man also posted on his personal Facebook page, expressing his deepest apologies and regrets.
Namely, the photo was taken at the grave of a female person of the Islamic religion who, as one of the family members announced, was buried just two months ago.
Romeo Bioksic, the father of the minor in the photo, expressed his deep “apology, pity and sympathy on behalf of himself, but also on behalf of his son” in his post on Facebook.
Bioksic wrote that he was not raised nationalistically, nor did he raise his children that way, mainly because he is in a mixed marriage.
He claims that this kind of photo is the result of the society in which today’s children are brought up and grow up – despite parental supervision.
“What can I say after this mentioned act, I can only condemn it in every possible way, all my Bosniak friends who know me know, first of all, that I was not raised or connected towards nationalism. Those who do not know me will condemn and refer to my home upbringing. As I was not raised by my parents to hate and divide human beings, I passed all this on to my two children, who are children from a mixed marriage of a Croat father and a Bosniak mother,” wrote Bioksic.
He also says that this “situation” will leave a “deep and indelible mark” on him, his family and relatives.
“I want to express my deep pity and sympathy for the aforementioned Dumpor family, which I will do personally. To you, my dear friends, Bosniaks, I deeply apologize for this shameful, uncivilized act. I hope that this act will not damage our friendly relations,” he said.
Also, he believes that the controversial photo is the result of the society in which today’s children are raised, but also that it is the influence of nationalist political messages that are being placed.
He concluded that “we must fight and overcome this evil together”, and that “we must not allow children to be poisoned by hatred”, Klix.ba writes.
