After Republika Srpska (RS) lowered the prices of commercial testing for coronavirus, it will soon happen in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) as well, Klix.ba news portal reports.
According to the unofficial information, Minister of Health of FBiH Vjekoslav Mandic asked the Health Insurance Fund to revise the prices of tests for commercial purposes, which means that residents of FBiH can soon expect cheaper PCR tests.
From yesterday, the prices of commercial tests are 150 BAM in RS, while in FBiH they still cost from 200 to 215 BAM.
Citizens of BiH can take test in various public and private institutions, but only a negative PCR test from one of the laboratories authorized for these tests is necessary for crossing the border. Apart from that, the countries in the region and Europe are greatly lowering the prices of commercial PCR tests to make it easier for citizens to pass their health checks and travel.
Up to now, according to official information from the entity health institutes, 155.207 people have been tested for coronavirus throughout BiH. This number does not include commercial tests.
