Republika Srpska’s (RS), one of the entities in Bosnia and herzegovina (BiH), foreign trade deficit in January-June this year amounted to 543 million BAM.
Exports amounted to 1 billion and 807 million BAM, which is one percent less than the same period last year.
Imports amounted to two billion and 350 million BAM, which is 6.9 percent less than the same period last year. The share of export import coverage for January – June of the current year was 76.9 percent.
In the first half of the year, the BiH entity also exported the highest value in Italy to the value of 291 million BAM or 16.1 percent, and to Serbia 228 million BAM or 12.6 percent of the total realized exports.
In the same period, RS imported most from Serbia, in the amount of 428 million BAM, or 18.2 percent, and from Italy, in the amount of 335 million BAM, or 14.3 percent of total realized imports.
The largest share of exports from RS is realized with electricity of 140 million BAN, which is 7.7 percent of total exports, while the largest share of imports comes from drugs with a total value of 93 million BAM, which is four percent of total imports, Fena reports.
