planThe city administration of Bihac will soon submit the Draft Decision on the Establishment of the Public Enterprise “Airport Bihac” to city councilors on consideration and adoption, which will be the first step towards the realization of the project of construction of the airport.

Since one of the conditions for obtaining funds from higher levels of government for the construction of the airport is establishing the company and its temporary management, the city administration of Bihac is preparing materials for GV Bihac, which should establish the company by their decision, as announced on the city website.

Emdzad Galijasevic, the mayor of Bihac, emphasized that 2 million BAM are planned by the draft of the Budget of FB&H for construction of the airport Bihac and with the establishment of the company, the city of Bihac is making the first step towards the beginning of the construction of the airport at the site of Golubici.

“We have to be careful and prepare decisions and everything needed for the construction of airport step by step. The support of higher levels is not in question and it is important not to promise some big projects and airports as in the past, but to seriously prepare the ground for the investments that are extremely important for the city of Bihac. There is also interest of private companies that are engaged in the management and construction of the airports, and we have already hosted representatives of one Turkish company, which has been introduced with the project,” said the mayor Galijasevic.
