bey soupFrom April 15 to 19, Sarajevo will be hosting the Worldchef’s Europe Conference, which is sponsored by the World Association of Chefs Societies (WACS) and organized by the BiH Association of Chefs.

The conference will feature cooking competitions, a gastro fair and an attempt to make enough Bey’s Soup to get into the Guinness Book of World Records.

Representatives of the European Association of Chefs (a member of WACS) will be participating in the actual conference, which will take place on April 17 at Hotel Europe. The “Bey’s Soup for Guinness” event will be held on the same day at Trg Oslobođenja-Alija Izetbegović. The plan is to prepare and distribute 15,000 portions of Bey’s Soup, thereby getting into the Guinness Book of World Records.

The semi-finals of the Global Chefs Challenge will also be held at Trg Oslobođenja-Alija Izetbegović from April 16 to 18. Representatives from 15 countries from throughout Southeastern Europe will be competing in three categories: chefs, pastry chefs and young chefs.

Almir Herović, who has been working as a chef since 2000, will represent BiH during the competition.

There will also be a special conference guest, Ljubomir Stanišić, a native Sarajevan who is known for his cooking show on 24 Kitchen.
