An exhumation process was carried out in the area of the Rakita in Vlasenica, during which complete remains of one person were found at a site outside the graves.

An investigator from the Special Department for War Crimes of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH was present at the site, who supervised the exhumation process and secured the location.

The remains will be transported to the Tuzla Commemoration Center for further anthropological processing and sampling to determine a person’s identity through DNA analysis.

Investigators and expert staff of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH participate, almost daily, in the processes of exhumation and search for missing persons, at locations throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
