At the Potocari site in Srebrenica, the complete remains of one victim of the past war were exhumed today, the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH stated in the press release.

It is presumed that this is a victim of Bosniak nationality, ie a woman who was brought and buried at this site in 1995.

After the exhumation, the remains will be transferred to the Commemorative Center in Tuzla for forensic-technical and forensic-medical processing, and the removal of bone samples for identification with the help of DNA analysis.

The exhumation was conducted by the Prosecutor’s Office by order of the Court of BiH, and in addition to the Institute’s investigators, the exhumation was attended by a doctor of forensic medicine, workers, mechanization and members of the Srebrenica Police Station.
