Association “Friends of Srebrenica” organized the first business weekend for 30 young business enthusiasts from Bratunac, Milić and Srebrenica who want to start their own business. During the business weekend, young participants elaborated their business ideas that they intend to implement. They worked on developing four business ideas. After consultation with experts, they decided to develop business ideas – the production of dried plums, production and drying of mushrooms, greenhouse production as well as building the accommodation capacity at the “Paradise Beach” in Bratunac. After two days of developing the business ideas, the professional team proclaimed the greenhouse production plan as the best idea.
For all participants of the first business weekend in Srebrenica prizes were provided, such as tablets, computer equipments and courses of business English. Also, there are planned visits to successful companies in the region.
The support to the Association “Friends of Srebrenica” in organizing the first business weekend is provided by the U.S. Embassy in B&H, and the municipalities of Srebrenica, Bratunac and Milić, Regional Chamber of Bijeljina and the UNDP office in Srebrenica.
