Computer Training for Young Women

internet2The company “Imel” from Lukavica launched the project ‘Strengthening Local Democracy III-LOD III”, which is financed by the EU from the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).

According to portal Tip.ba, the goal of this project is education for all participants with a university degree to gain knowledge in the field of information technology that are necessary for employment and for the creation of a new staff profile in the area of web programming. Implementation of this project for young women is being conducted through classroom teaching, with the support of teachers as well practical work using a computer. Trainees will undergo training through five modules of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and basic graphic and web design.

The education projects are based on constructive services of establishing quality staff that meet all the requirements of the current market in the goal of reducing unemployment. The estimated duration of the training project is four months, after which participants will receive a certificate as evidence of their ability to use computers.
