Concert held in Srebrenica just a Few Hours after Collective Funeral and Burial

On Tuesday afternoon, just a few hours after the burial of 30 identified genocide victims, a concert is being held in Srebrenica as part of the “Petrovdan Days of Srebrenica 2023” event.

As reported by the Klix.ba reporter from the scene, the concert is being held near the church in the center of the city, and the music is very loud and, to say the least, inappropriate for the commemoration of the anniversary of the genocide in this city.

As Klix.ba learns, even many local Serbs are protesting about holding a concert on this day, saying that it is not right to provoke and adding that it is also not appropriate because tomorrow marks the anniversary of the suffering of Serbs in a wide area.

The concert is part of the event “Petrovdanski days of Srebrenica 2023.” which is organized in memory of the martyrdom of Serbs on St. Peter’s Day in 1992 in the villages around Srebrenica and Bratunac.

We remind you that yesterday was the Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but this is not the case with the Republika Srpska entity. The reason why July 11 was not declared a day of mourning in the entire territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina is that the Council of Ministers of BiH did not reach a consensus on this issue, although at the last session the Minister of Defense of BiH Zukan Helez put this proposal on the agenda.
