The Conference “Capital Cities as Generators of the Process of Development” to take place on Friday

The City of Sarajevo and Mayor Abdulah Skaka will be hosting the mayors and representatives of the capital cities of the Western Balkans region on Friday, August 11, 2017, from 2 PM to 4 PM, at the conference “The Capital Cities as Generators of the Development”.

It is a very important gathering whose main aim is strengthening the cooperation and coordination of capital cities that are playing an increasingly important role in the development of countries, both in the region and in the entire Europe.

Mayors and delegates of Ljubljana, Zagreb, Belgrade, Podgorica, Tirana, and Istanbul will participate at the gathering that will take place at the Hotel Pino Nature on the Olympic Mountain Trebevic.

The signing of a statement on joint action, finding solutions and exchange of experiences of capital cities of the region will be organized after the Conference.

moreover, after the Conference, the mayors and representatives of mayors of the capital cities will attend the opening of the 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival. Organization of the mayoral meeting during the Sarajevo Film Festival is aimed to further emphasize the role and potential of the city of Sarajevo and in order to present the city at a time when it is the cultural and tourist center of the region in the best way possible.
