The first day of the visit of the business delegation from the Republic of Srpska to Austria passed in an intensive talks and B2Bmeetings of businessmen with Austrian companies.

Today is the second day of a three-day B2B (business to business) meetings, i.e. meetings between B&H and Austrian companies, in the organization of the Center for economic and rural development CERD, and in the cooperation with the Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WIFI-ITK) and the Representative of Republic of Srpska in this country.

Meetings are attended by owners of small and medium companies from B&H, medium and high management. As well as businessmen from organizations interested in establishing a business cooperation with companies from Austria.

“Yesterday, each our company had an opportunity to meet with average tree to four Austrian companies that showed an interest for cooperation. Talks were very productive and with clear offers from Austrian companies. We hope that such talks will lead to the conclusion of concrete jobs, which is our ultimate goal“, said the president of CERD, Miodrag Matavulj.

Bilateral meetings are created based on participants’ preferences, in order to make meetings maximally effective. Namely, members stated which sorts of jobs they want to start – whether it is about the sales, purchase, presentation, joint investment etc., and they also stated profiles of their companies/organizations as well as their own professional profiles. This initiative was joined by the representatives of municipalities Laktasi and Mrkonjic Grad, the Development Agency PREDA, as well as Agency for agricultural payments of RS.

A Regional Center for Economic and Rural Development CERD was created within the Center for Agriculture and Rural Development CARD.

Organization of these business meetings is the first of numerous activities that CERD will conduct with the aim of reviving our villages, creating business opportunities and the development of entrepreneurship in rural communities.

CERD is a regional initiative which covers an area of wider Banja Luka region with its activities. A construction of an object for needs of functioning of CERD is in progress in village Krnete near Laktasi. CERD represents a one-stop-shop for the business development, introduction of innovations and attracting investments for local entrepreneurial initiatives which it will offer to small and medium enterprises.
