Consequences of high Prices in BiH are felt most by Parents

Inflation and the enormous increase in the cost of living inevitably affected every group of the population, regardless of age. However, the fact is that the consequences of high prices are felt most by parents who are obliged to provide their children with all the necessities.

In everyday life, we encounter situations where both parents are employed, and after coming home from school, children spend several hours alone in front of small screens, usually with snacks and juices, and leave their homework for the evening, expecting their parents’ help in completing it.

The extended stay, which is precisely designed to ”protect”children from unhealthy activities, is a form of upbringing and education where children have their free time in addition to studying.

The service of extended stay is provided by many primary schools in Canton Sarajevo (CS). Depending on what they offer, what kind of program it includes, and the like, the price list also differs.

Complaints have been received from parents who say that certain schools in Sarajevo have announced an increase in the price of an extended stay. As it turns out, some schools have announced a jump in extended stay from 200 BAM to 240 BAM, or 210 to 250 BAM, after the New Year.
