The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina at a session held today found that the amendments to the FBiH Constitution and the changes to the BiH Election Law are in accordance with the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Article 1 of Protocol No. 12 to the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights rights and fundamental freedoms, as well as articles of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina made this decision upon the appeal filed by Željko Komšić, a member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Šefik Džaferović, at the time of submitting the request, the Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for the evaluation of the constitutionality of amendments to the Constitution of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and amendments to the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were imposed on October 2 last year by the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Christian Schmidt.

This decision will be published after the judges who announced their separate opinions subsequently submit their opinions, within 15 days, in accordance with Article 43 of the Rules of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was stated on the website of the Constitutional Court.
