BiH Presidency member Zeljko Komsic assessed that the attempts of the High Representative in BiH Christian Schmidt to find any excuse for imposing discriminatory provisions of the election law are another attempt to forever cement the decisive influence of official Zagreb on the political processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“It is obvious that Mr. Schmidt is looking for any way to satisfy the public here, and at the same time deliver the House of Peoples of the Federation of BiH to Zagreb through imposed decisions. The attempt to discipline Cavara, which is most likely coordinated, is ridiculous and only serves the purpose of obtaining an excuse for imposing discriminatory solutions,” Komsic said.
“Efforts being made to transfer the House of Peoples and political decision-making from Bosnia and Herzegovina to Zagreb require that pro-Bosnian and especially civil options agree on the position related to the role of the House of Peoples. Earlier uniform positions on the need to reduce the powers of the Houses of Peoples are a good starting point for unique position on that issue,” he added.
