BiH’s Presidency member Milorad Dodik today sent sharp criticism regarding the demarche that BiH Foreign Affairs Minister Bisera Turkovic sent to Israel regarding their embassy’s support for HDZ’s proposals to amend the BiH Electoral Law.
Today, Turkovic sent a demarche to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel and the embassy of this country in Tirana, which is responsible for consular affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Any support for electoral reform that would discriminate against citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to their ethnic or religious affiliation has been unequivocally rejected by the majority of parliamentary parties in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the demarche stated, among other things.
Dodik reacted to this by saying that Turkovic “continues to damage the reputation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international scene with his unconstitutional behavior”.
“Turkovic abuses her position and expresses personal and party views on important issues, without consultation and the decision of the BiH Presidency. With his actions, she causes harm to everyone and tries to quarrel us with friendly countries, such as the State of Israel, which fully supports the Constitution of BiH and the constitutionality people,” said Dodik.
He added that it is important to have good relations and cooperation with Israel.
“I want to thank the State of Israel for clearly stating its views and supporting a proper understanding of the situation and relations in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” concluded Dodik, Klix.ba reports.
