Mayor of Pale Miodrag Kovačević said to Srna that the construction of the tunnel ‘‘Stambulčić’’ is being finalized.
Kovačević said that the construction works are completed and now only lighting and driveways need to be finished.
He noted that the construction of tunnel was financed by the Development Programme of the RS, and so far 10 million BAM has been invested.
”The tunnel is very important for the citizens of Pale because large trucks could not pass through the old tunnel that was built by Austria-Hungary in 1905”, said Kovačević.
The length of the tunnel is around 1100 metres.
