roundaboutCanton Sarajevo has 25 million BAM ready for solving property issues regarding the construction of the First transversal.

A large part of this will be spent in the area of the Municipality of Vogosca, and on the basis of the expropriation of land studies for the construction of the First transversal, which was conducted by the Institute for the Construction of CS. Part of funds will be provided by the Municipality Centar and the Government of the FBiH.

“We must solve the construction of roundabouts on the existing main road in municipalities of Centar and Vogosca, in order for this project to give us the desired result, i.e. the reduction of traffic jams in the morning and afternoon hours,” said the Mayor of the Municipality Centar, Nedzad Ajnadzic.

Municipalities Centar and Vogosca already issued the urban permit for the construction of part of the First transversal.

Mayor of the Municipality Vogosca Edin Smajic said that the construction of roundabouts on Kobilja glava and Vogoscanska loop represent a priority for Vogosca, for which the urban permit was already issued by the municipality.

Urban permit of the Municipality Centar includes the section from Kranjceviceva Street over Bar to Hotonj, or the border with the Municipality of Vogosca, in a total length of 3.5 kilometers. According to some estimates, the construction of part of the First transversal on the section from Kranjceviceva Street to Hotonj will amount to more than 215 million BAM.

It is necessary for this project to make some amendments to the main project and if planned investigation works are completed within 15 days, the completion of the project documentation is expected in the month of August.

Movement of pedestrians will be adequately solved during the construction of new roundabouts. The Municipality of Center financed the preliminary and main project of the roundabout in the settlement Sip, as noted at the meeting in the PE Roads of the FBiH.
