The Construction of the Underground Garage near the City Hall to Start soon?

garaza-vijecnica(Ekapija)Saudi fund for development will approve credit funds to the Municipality of Stari Grad Sarajevo, in the amount of 8,062.000 US dollars for the implementation of four projects. The funds will be approved at the next meeting of the Committee of the Fund, said Mohammed Aldalilan and Sulaiman Alwotaid, the representatives of the Fund.

The following projects were presented: the underground garages and multifunction market in Avdage Šahinagića Street, sports hall next to the primary school “Edhem Mulabdić”, buiding of the additional building of the Health Center in Stari Grad and improvement of energy efficiency of the Municipal building in Stari Grad..

Saudis3 (Starigrad)After the presentation, representatives of the Fund with the mayor Ibrahim Hadzibajric visited these four locations.

“They are especially pleased if the approved funds would finance projects that are of general interest for our citizens. In addition, they are pleased because Municipality solves the problems of citizens, although this should be covered by other competent institutions. By that I refer to the construction of the sports hall and the reconstruction of the Health Centre”, explained Hadžibajrić and added that at least two months are needed for the selection of contractors on these projects.

“They told us that the signing of the contract on approval of funds is expected in about two months and will be solved in Riyadh, and immediately after that, we can go continue with the procedure”, added Hadžibajrić.

Stari Grad Municipality will take credit for the development from the Saudi Fund for a period of 20 years, with a five-year grace period and an interest of 2%.
