Orthopedic specialists from Turkey continue their successful cooperation with colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) with whom they exchange experiences and perform extremely complex surgical procedures in the field of pediatric orthopedics.
A three-member team from Turkey consisting of prof. dr. Muharrem Inan, a physician at the Pediatric Orthopedic Academy of Orthopedics in Istanbul, prof. dr. Ibrahim Tuncay, Vice-Rector of Bezmialem Vakif University in Istanbul and Dr. Hakan Senaran are visiting Sarajevo, Federalna writes.
During the mentioned visit, Turkish orthopedists had the opportunity to cooperate and exchange experiences with well-known orthopedists from BiH, including Ismet Gavrankapetanovic, director of the General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakas “, and the cooperation between doctors from the two countries is visible from the results of a complex surgeryperformed yesterday on a patient from BiH.
“This is a continuation of our cooperation and an attempt to improve BiH and this region in the field of orthopedic surgery, so that young people have the opportunity to learn better and more, and the people in front of you are for sure the most famous names in Europe,” Gavrankapetanovic stressed.
“I still learned today as I have been learning for 35 years. Perhaps the biggest advantage is that young doctors today, our fellow orthopedists, have the opportunity to see it, participate, ask questions. This kind of cooperation is actually our life, ” toldGavrankapetanovic.
He also referred to the small number of children’s orthopedists not only in BiH but also in the Balkans.
“We have the opportunity to share experiences with them here. Today we are here with three professors. Muharrem Inan and Hakan Senaran are professors who are, from a scientific point of view, highly esteemed both in Turkey and the world when it comes to pediatric orthopedics, ” said Tuncay.
”We had the opportunity to exchange experiences in the field of pediatric orthopedics. This morning we had surgery in the field of pediatric orthopedics. Our plan is to use the improvedcooperation and more frequent meetings for benefit of children in BiH and Turkey,” Senaran stated yesterday.
Inan pointed out that they are ready to do everything they can to provide the best services to children.
“That is the main goal why we are here and we hope that the children will get the best services, and we will do our best to do that,” concluded Inan.
