The Canton Sarajevo (CS) Assembly unanimously decided to award recognition to Nevenka Tromp, as an honorary citizen of Sarajevo, and a plaque awarded by the CS to persons who have made individual and collective contributions to the promotion of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH).
Because of her outstanding contribution to the research and documentation of evidence of genocide in Srebrenica, Tromp received this recognition. Nevenka Tromp said that this recognition was unexpected and there were no hints about it.
She believes in the common sense of the BiH public
Several associations, led by the Mothers of Srebrenica and the Association of Genocide Victims and Witnesses, responded with a letter to the CS Assembly stating that Tromp was one of the authors of a report by the Institute for War, Holocaust and Genocide Studies (NIOD), which they consider controversial because it calls into question Serbia’s role in the Srebrenica genocide, Avaz writes.
”It is said that there is no evidence that Serbia is responsible for the genocide in Srebrenica. The first thing is that this report is six thousand pages long, and if one sentence is taken out of that context… and I wonder who did it. It is in Dutch and English. The impression was created on social networks that I was doing the research myself and that I was the author of all 6.000 pages.
Many scientists have participated. My contribution was very important to me, and it consists of 65 pages in Appendix 6. It was about the causes and consequences of the war in Yugoslavia. This is a very important context of my role in the Report,” Tromp pointed out and added that she believes that the report has not been read in its entirety by those who accuse her of her role in the work.
”The tribunal is a United Nations (UN) court and has a mandate under Chapter 7. It is a chapter on peace and security and each member has a duty to cooperate. They could ask for documentation as we did for Milosevic. We go to Kostunica, who was president, he says that everything was lost in the NATO bombing and they return. I believe in the common sense of the BiH public and that it is clear to them,” said Trump, adding:
”My answer is YES, Serbia is responsible for the genocide. I know that from my work when the criminal responsibility of the President of Serbia was proven. By proving his responsibility (Milosevic), Serbia’s role in genocide was indirectly proven. In 2007, a verdict was passed that Serbia did not prevent genocide and that it has that responsibility, and that it is not responsible for genocide. Since that year, Bosniaks have had an interest in preparing a revision of that decision.”
The SDA and Izetbegovic are pretending to work
”The SDA and Bakir Izetbegovic have done nothing in their two terms as members of the BiH Presidency in seven years. They do not want to say that to their people. They pretend to work and it turns out they never wanted a revision. It is a fraud of Bakir Izetbegovic and the SDA.
These rumors are coming to me because I witnessed Bakir Izetbegovic do everything to prevent that from happening. There was unused material and we asked for contacts that they should have a serious revision team and that this could not be done in a couple of months. In 2015, we saw that there was nothing and we told Izetbegovic that he was not doing anything and don’t say for 2017. we did everything and found no evidence.
That exclusion of a certain number of people and the creation of a team that works in secret, and the revision could only come to life through a State Agent. In the end, we saw that the entire political leadership knew that Sakib Softic could not be an agent, and they insisted on that. The court said he could not be, and the court offered BiH to resubmit the revision within 48 hours and to hand it over to the BiH ambassador to The Hague or the Minister of Foreign Affairs. Izetbegovic replied that he insists that Softic remain an agent and the revision failed,” Tromp explained everything.
