The Delegation of the European Movement (EP) in BiH, led by President Predrag Praštalo, met with the President of the Governing Board of the Turkish Center for Development of Relations with BiH (BIGMEV) Muzaffer Cilek and his associates.

They discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between BIGMEV and EP, since these two organizations have more mutual interests, especially in the area of strengthening the development of friendly and economic relations between BiH and Turkey through joint participation in the process of EU integration and development of friendly relations.

They said that the International European Movement, which is a member and representative in the EP in BiH, was a founder of the Council of Europe and one of the main drivers of the EU as we know it today. BIGMEV was founded two years ago with seats in Sarajevo, Istanbul and Bursa. Until now, they have organized a multitude of business meetings between BiH and Turkish businesspeople in ten different sectors, most of all in agriculture, energy and fishery.

The activities of BIGMEV materialized and BiH brands such as ‘’Vispak’’, ‘’Bimal’’ and ‘’Milkos’’ can now be found on store shelves in Turkey.

Cilek said that BIGMEV promotes cooperation and town twinning between BiH and Turkish cities. The EP promotes similar activities between BiH and the EU.

It was decided that representatives of BIGMEV and EP meet again in order to agree on concrete steps in joint project activities.
