Head of the Joint Commission for Defence and Security of BiH Dušanka Majkić met yesterday in Sarajevo with the commander of the NATO Headquarters, Brigadier General Walter Lord.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on a number of issues in the defence and security sectors in BiH and in particular the current state of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina after the workshop in early November 2012 in Teslic and the visit of the members of the Joint Commission to tactical support brigade of the Armed Forces of BiH.
State of the personnel, making the document “Overview of Defence,” the destruction of obsolete ammunition, mines, storage safety, issues of transparent budget spending and public procurement in the defence sector, engagement of units of Armed Forces of BiH in the demining process are just some of the issues that were the subject of the conversation of Majkić and General Lord.
