The Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, held a meeting on Thursday at the headquarters of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Regional Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the Western Balkans, Matteo Colangeli, and representatives of the EBRD Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The EBRD delegation informed the Prime Minister about the results of the previously held meeting with the Federal Minister of Energy, Mining and Industry, Vedran Lakić, with a focus on future energy projects in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Prime Minister Nikšić expressed his gratitude to the EBRD for the support that this international financial institution has provided to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina so far, especially in the areas of developing renewable energy sources and improving road infrastructure.

“The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina recognizes in the EBRD an important and reliable partner in implementing development and infrastructure projects, especially those that contribute to the energy transition, strengthening economic growth and economic connectivity,” emphasized Prime Minister Nikšić.

During the meeting, the possibilities of further improving road infrastructure in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the design and construction of expressways, were also discussed.

Prime Minister Nikšić emphasized that Corridor 5c remains the most important infrastructure priority of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On this occasion, the modalities of future cooperation with the aim of the final construction of the corridor were also discussed.
