The Government of FBiH adopted on Thursday a Decree establishing the Council for Agriculture and Rural Areas of FBiH, as an expert advisory body of the Government of FBiH.
The task of this body is to monitor the development and implementation of agricultural strategies and to evaluate the annual report on the state of agriculture; to accompany designing and implementing strategies for rural development; to protect the interests of rural communities in FBIH, and to provide opinions on regulations of BiH and FBiH and international agreements in the field of agriculture.
Members of the Council for Agriculture will be named by the Government of FBiH, taking in account age and sex, and their mandate will last for four years.
Government of FBiH will also provide the funding for the Council.
