vijeceSession of the Council of Ministers of BiH should be held today and the ministers should declare on the draft rulebook on the manner of controlling the prices of medicines, manner of forming of prices of medicines, and the manner of reporting on prices of medicines.

The draft rulebook was defined by the Agency for medicines and medical devices of Bosnia and Herzegovina and submitted to the Council of Ministers for adoption.

According to the Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović, this document has passed all legal procedures, which is why he expects its adoption at today’s session.

The Council of Ministers of BiH earlier suggested that amendments to the Law on Medicines are adopted in urgent procedure. The amendments foresee the change in the article 15, with the aim of appointing the new Expert Council of the Agency, whose mandate expired in 2012.

Such urgent legislative procedure was not accepted by either representatives or delegates in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, so the amendments to the law should be considered in regular procedure now.

According to the proposed amendments to the law, the Expert Council should consist of two candidates from the Council of Ministers, two candidates from each entity, and one candidate from the District Brčko BiH.

Consideration of the draft rulebook on the prices of medicines is the only item on the agenda of today’s session.
