Council of Ministers of BiH scheduled a Session Today

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina is scheduled to hold an extraordinary session today to consider the Draft Law on Border Control, proposed by the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the new text of the Draft Law on the Protection of Personal Data, proposed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Information on the Situation in the Field of Migration in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the First Nine Months of 2024 should also be considered.

The agenda should also include the Information on the Distribution and Use of Current Reserve Funds for the Period January – September 2024, as well as the Proposal for a Medium-Term Debt Management Strategy of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Period 2023 – 2026.

The ministers should also have before them the Proposal for a Decision on the Adoption of the Mine Action Strategy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, a revised document for the period 2025 – 2027, and the Proposal for a Decision on the Approval of a Multi-Year Project for Co-financing Demining Costs in Bosnia and Herzegovina for the Period 2025 – 2027.

After the extraordinary session, a regular session of the Council of Ministers of BiH should follow, the agenda of which should include, among other things, a new text of the Proposal for a Decision on granting consent to the Program for marking significant dates in the field of human rights in the institutions of BiH for 2024, with the aforementioned program.

The new text of the Proposal for a Decision on establishing a Working Group for the preparation of a proposal for a transition plan in migration management, temporary reception centers, from international organizations to the institutions of BiH should also be considered.

It is also planned to consider the Report on the execution of the Budget of the institutions of BiH and international obligations of BiH for the period January – September 2024.

The Ministers should also consider the Information on the implementation of the initiative of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, which tasks the Council of Ministers of BiH with making a decision on checking the diplomas of all employees in state institutions in terms of controlling the validity of diplomas in accordance with legal regulations in the field of education.
