Power Plants Una cazin.netAt the yesterday’s session of the City Council of Bihać, a unanimous decision was reached to withdraw the previously given consent for the construction of hydroelectric power plant on the River Una.

Namely, the City Council of the City of Bihać, after a long discussion at the session held on July 15th, with a majority of votes adopted the Draft Decision on giving consent for initiating the procedure of awarding the concession with a Public tender – tender for design, construction, management and transmission of mHE at the site of Martin Brod and Dobrenica.

However, the citizens of Krajina, as well as other parts of B&H, revolted against this decision of the Bihać authorities. A petition to withdraw such a decision was initiated, and the pressure of the public came to fruition.

As it was confirmed from the Cabinet of the Chairman of the City Council of Bihać Roman Jurić, a unanimous decision to withdraw the previously given consent was reached at the yesterday’s session of the City Council.
