Advisor at the United States Department of State and Special Advisor to the US Secretary of State, Derek Chollet, has canceled all visits to Brussels and the Balkan countries due to Covid-19.

“I regret that I have to postpone my trip to the Balkans and Brussels due to a positive Covid test. I remain involved in all issues in the Balkans and plan to travel early next year,” Chollet wrote on Twitter.

Blinken’s advisor was last in BiH in November of last year, and then he sent clear messages that the U.S. would oppose corruption in BiH and oppose the separatism of the Republika Srpska (RS). This was followed by the expansion of the U.S. blacklist.
